What the ***CK?

Two poor souls did not realize that ***CK meant BRICK and showed up for Momentum Monday.  One of them thought I was bringing some Cuban food for after the workout.  Better luck next time…

We did the usual warm up of

  • Side Straddle Hop 25x IC
  • Toy Soldier 10x IC
  • Cotton Pickers 10x IC

Q then walked to the back of his car and showed a delightful array of bricks to choose from.  One of the PAX was nursing a sore back, so he skipped the bricks.  

Main Event:  Three corners of the AO had pain stations assigned.  We ran with bricks between these.  Did the circuit five times.  Overall, logged 2 miles.

  • Squat Press 15x OYO
  • Skull Crushers 15x OYO
  • Man Maker Merkins 15x OYO

Returned to AO and did some more exercises with bricks, including Mary.

  • Dodo Bird routine – Shoulder Press, Seal Clap, Overhead Seal Clap
  • Nancy Kerrigan – 10x IC on each leg
  • Front Raise – 10x IC
  • Lateral Raise – 10x IC
  • Never Cross Dolly – 15x IC
  • Flutter Press – 15x IC
  • WW2 – 20x
  • Peter Parker (no bricks) – 15x IC
  • Crunchy Frog – 15x IC
  • Leg Raises – 15x

 

Moleskin:

  • PAX felt cheated since they expected a run and not a brick workout, but they got their money's worth of bricks to last a few weeks.
  • You can tell Narcos Mexico is out since every time a plane flew by, PAX thought it was full of drugs
  • Prayers for Surf's mother-in-law, who is battling through cancer.
  • It was a privilege to lead the workout today.
