7 PAX today at Odyssey for anywhere from 5 to 10 miles of running. Here is the story:
04XX: Anchovy and Breakfast Club were already out getting some work done.
0510: COT and route given. Disclaimer…forgot…Cobains. We were all properly lit up / reflective though.
The Thing:
- Run to Ranson via an audible through side neighborhoods (this is better than using Gilead)
- Right on Ranson, Right on Stumptown
- Left on Waterfront Drive, aka Burner's old neighborhood.
- Do a lap around the classic Sharknado route.
- Back to the AO.
Moleskin:
- T-Claps to everyone doing the Bourbon Chase, including Odyssey MQ The Count. Don't worry Count, although the route is sketchy in parts, we didn't lose any of the 6 runners we started out with. In fact, we gained a runner! Mona Lisa rolled in at 0515 and ran roughly the same route.
- T-Claps also to any PAX man enough to attempt Go Ruck Selection (ongoing as I write this) and the Half IM happening this weekend. We missed many of you today and the attendance was a little lighter than normal, but know that you are in our thoughts. Go get em!
- We called BS on the Sharknado, even though we did 0 reps of anything. Why, Burner?!?
- Breakfast Club with a speedy 10 miles and Anchovy paced him. Nice work gents.
- Mr Burns and Mona Lisa dropped in on The Cauldron and did a few reps there. Nice.
- Let the record show YHC had the least amount of layers on, in the 44 degree temps. Just shorts and a t shirt, as if it were still summer. That's right, turning over a new leaf here. Although, directional challenges still remain. At the end Anchovy had the gall to ask "do you know where you are right now?" Lol.
- Dallas, Tantrum, and YHC discussed the police officer stationed at Huntersville United Methodist Church. Tantrum remembered a time when Jolly startled him awake and may have…angered him. As we were running back to the AO we were passed by a vehicle going easily 50+ by the Church. The officer did nothing. Which begets the backblast title: What would you say you do here?
(Find the Office Space bit on Youtube for some Friday entertainment)
Solid work, gents.
