11 Members of F3Isotope's finest came out on a Friday to pay tribute to the hometown squad – the Carolina Panthers. On a cool day (under 40 degrees) its great to see 11 Pax show up in an effort to push themselves. As YHC is a Pats fan, a number of Pats easter egss were buried in the workout.
Warm O'Rama

- The Pax holds the Al Gore
- Anytime Tom Croons 'Whats New Pussy Cat' We all do a burpee
- Anytime he says 'Pussycat' a deep squat is executed
- A quick mosey to the shovel flag for the pledge
- Mosey to the rest area for the Main Event
The Thang
The follow exercies were done AMRAP – 1 minute on, with 20 seconds to recover:
- Alternating lunges
- Chuck Norris pushup (on knuckles)
- Pretzel Crunch
- Squats
- Dips
- WW2 Sit up
- Man Maker 'Merican
- Step ups to bleachers
We then went against the wall for the People's chair and did a set of 'touch dem heels' and 'air presses' both went to 21 in honor of Malcom Butler, hero of SuperBowl 49.
A new exercise was introduced The Tom Brady Merican – a 12 step monster that needs some tweaking in the lab. The Tom Brady involves:
Plank position –> Both legs side step out –> hand walk out to Carolina Dry Dock –> hand walk back in –> step back out to plank position –> regular 'Merican. If you are tired reading this description, it was exhausting to try and count and perform as well. I appreciate the Pax for their patience during this experiment
And then another round of 'Whats New PussyCat'
A mosey to the rock pile, to find a non traveling rock for the following exercises:
- Low Curl x12 IC
- High Curl x12 IC
- Power to the People x10 each side OYO
- Full Curl x12
A variation of the 'Whats New Pussycat?' Holding rock out in front of you, do an 8 count man maker at every 'Whats new pussycat' from the kettle bell workouts and an overhead press on 'Pussycat'
Put the rocks away
Mosey to the Parking Lot and circle up for Mary
- Do the Scrappy inspired 'Hey Geronimo" – hold plank and do "up downs" on 'Hey Geronimo' and Mericans on 'Bombs Away'
- Do the YHC inspired 'Bring Sally Up' core work where we hold canoe and bring feet and legs up when Moby instructs us to and then bring them back down when instructed to do so.
- Low flutter X12 IC
The Moleskin
- A great group of guys with an excellent blend of mumblechatter and silent assassins. I've complimented peoples work before but there were some beasts in this workout. I was just happy to see the 11 piles of sweat on the ground after the Sally exercise.
- The Chuck Norris pushups for a minute were rather beastly and seemed to quell the conversations, OR
- Everyone was still concerned that Hippie was going to disrobe and get into his true Tom Jones zen state.
- The mumblechatter picked up at the rock pile until YHC brough back another variant of 'Whats New Pussycat?' I picked up a few BS calls there which I just take as being a good sign.
- I looked around at the 3 minute mark of both songs and the Pax and the Q were essentially smoked. I had to call recover for the sake of posterity.
- The Pax couldn't quite agree if we woke up this morning to be slightly above average or excellent. The overwhelming majority spoke the words of average but chose excellence.
- I am truly humbled to lead this group of men. Your energy and enthusiasm are matched only by your willingness to work and embrace the suck.
- I hope everyone is still singing Tom Jones and get this viral version of song herpes in their head on Sunday at 1:35.
