REFLECTION
Proverbs 31:10-31
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
Gentlemen, don’t wait for another year to pass before you take the time to acknowledge your M for what she does for you and your family.
MOLESKIN
- We welcomed an FNG today! Scope’s 2.0 Brody showed the old men how it’s done – making it look easy. Brody is big Clemson fan and, according to Mater, has more energy than any other three kids he works with at Route 56 (church youth). Some suggested Dabo (for Sweeney) Mater suggested “Energizer”, some said “bunny”. Q was confused and oxygen-deprived and dubbed him DaboBunny – just so he has to explain his name to anyone he’s introduced to. We’ll see what sticks. For now – welcome DaboBunny!
- The gloom seemed to get a little brighter when, half-way through the Warm-o-Rama, a final, unfamiliar vehicle pulled in to the lot. Puzzled looks were exchanged until we realized that the extra brightness was none other than LightBulb, who had mistakenly stumbled across the Mustang AO on his way to Chik-Fil-A (we didn’t tell him he’d already passed it).
- LightBulb was the Q for my first-ever F3 beatdown some 3 years and 9 months ago (and that might be the last time he was at Mustang…) and he is also the inventor the “Dr W” (#BlameLightBulbNotSonar) so it was a honor to host him today.
- Awesome efforts all around. Love watching PAX push themselves when the pace is self-set. Q got lapped twice by Abrams (no surprise there) and he was threatening a third. When someone commented that he was missing out on the opportunity to converse with his fellow PAX, he muttered something along the lines of “I didn’t come here to talk – I’ll talk in about 15 minutes when we’re done” and then he was gone. #BeastMode
- Missed a couple of the regulars this morning but a nice turnout on a sweaty morning. Won’t be long before we’re all begging for winter to return.
- As always, it is an honor to be allowed to ‘lead’ and a privilege just to be a part of this thing we call F3.
