Wheelbarrows of FUN!

7 men joined the Q on a chilly, but beautiful morning, to push some heavy things up a hill.

Inspiration for today's workout came from pushing the Polaris back from the clubhouse a few weeks ago.  Being sore for the next 3 days paved the way for today.

Warmup:

  • Tony Hawks x 15
  • Mtn Climbers x 20
  • Squats x 15

Thang:

We retrieved the wheelbarrows from the back of Dandelion's truck.  Definitely some confused looks on the faces of the pax.  The pax was then instructed to mosey back to the playground and grab 2 blocks per person…yes, 2.  We partnered up and rotated through these 4 stations.

  • Station 1 – Wheelbarrow push up to Ash Hollow – Rd 1 5 blocks – added a block after each rotation (175lbs, 210lbs, 245lbs) – TIMER
  • Station 2 – Leg exercises with resistance bands
  • Station 3 – Battle Ropes
  • Station 4 – Wooly Worms

Made it through 3 full rotations

Metro and Footer used the wheelbarrows to take the blocks back – rest of the pax did a double hill run while we waited.

No time for Mary

MC:

  • Skipper kept talking about wearing panties and playing with hoses – need to keep a close eye on him.
  • 3rd time up the hill with 245lbs in the barrel was brutal
  • Dandelion – Thank you for the assist this morning.  Always fun to try something new.
