Brushless rucked. Cheez, Pinkslip, Apehangers, and Totebag all ran. Well done, lads.
I received notice yesterday from the NCISAA that fall sports will start on time- July 27th that is, contests can begin in late August and that school will be 100% live (I did know the latter would happen). That's exciting for me. We teach to be around the kids and build relationships. Zoom teaching might be great for some but in my opinion it's sterile and boring. There's no back and forth. It creates a series of box checkers rather than independent, problem solvers. And this old dog is ready to get back into my classroom. Bring on the kids! Upon reflection, I couldn't Q any other workout besides Billy Madison.
Warmup:
None. They're stupid. See BB from 7/14 and my article entitled "Why Warmups are Stupid and go wipe your vah-jay-jay if you need one" It's found on the Al Gore invented interweb somewhere.
The Thang:
Mosey to the back of Cheez Whiz sweat shop.
exercise 1, 12 reps, OYO, run around the building
exercise 1 and exercise 2, 12 reps each, OYO, take your lap.
Repeato through exercise 12.
The movements were:
Merkins, curls, squats, skullcrushers, bent over rows, miliary press, lunges, Shambalas, flutter press, upright rows, frog jumps, burpees.
We got through upright rows and finished with a round of 12 burpees.
Mosey back to AO –> LBCs until 6:14 –> recover, recover
Moleskin:
Quiet day in the classroom, everyone was ready to work. I have a feeling if we went for an hour, Pax would have been open to that.
Had something else planned today that would have been A LOT more running… glad I went with plan B after getting the email, as I grossly underestimated the length of the big loop. It would have turned into Wheelz meets bootcamp. No bueno. Not to worry, I'll adjust and we'll do the workout another day.
Thanks for Banana Peel stepping up to Q next week! If anyone else wants to Q, please let me know!
Good job, Chubbs using the rucksack for the movements. He stated there's still no exercise equipment on the shelves at stores. (Throwback to Tombstone using the shopping cart- true story).
Make it a great day, Gents!
