Where’s Waldo (Omega)?

Event Date

AO

7 men stepped out of their warm dry cars to take their #DRP, which today included drizzling rain and 60 degrees. It's a choice each day. At 0530, Titan informed us that the Q was supposed to be Omega, but the little guy in his big Jeep and his even bigger personality and reputation was nowhere to be found. In a purely selfish and defensive move, YHC took the Q. The next 45 minutes of our morning went something like this…

Thang:

Mosey to the front door/carpool overhang for warm-o-rama: SSH x20, IST x15, Perkins 15, Squats x10, Willy Mayes Hayes x10

Mosey to the faculty parking lot: parking lot suicides with man-maker merkins at the starting line…total of ~45

Mosey to Buddy's playground, where Soprano regaled us with the story of the Buddy Bench, carved by Buddy, his friend Buddy, and their dogs Buddy and Buddy. The bench was hand-whittled with pocket knives from the stump of the Giving Tree.  Remember by Shel Silverstein? He wrote more than a couple books of poems. Thanks for the local history lesson, Soprano.

Squats x10. Reverkins x10. Squats x10. Plank-o-rama while 1 person ran the playground equipment. Only Titan understood #AdultRecess and stopped at the top of the playground set to pretend he was on a great big ship at sea. T-Claps, kid.  And I truly mean, kid.

Mosey to the football field where we found some benches for:  step-ups 10 each leg, incline merkins x10, step-ups again, derkins x10, perpetual step-ups 10 each leg, crunchy frog on the bench x10, perpetual step ups again, knee ups on the bench x10.

Mosey to Possum's trash can corner for various forms of The People's Chair until legs were burning and then wall plank with hip slap x10.

Mosey to the bus parking lot for 2 x 2 Ark Loader: Bears, Crabs, Bunny, Komodo Dragon, Cheetah, & Gazelle.

Calf raises x10 toes pointed out, x10 toes straight, x10 toes pointed in…enough to create a burning sensation.

Mosey to the front door again for LBC x12, spelling the Alphabet with feet together and leg stretching.

Moleskin:

1. Omega, Omega, Omega…I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but then Soprano polled the pax while we were waiting for the People's Chair pain to set in and NONE of us had ever missed a Q. I guess you're elite. Seriously, we hope all is well.

2. Cousin Eddie is near the top of the leaderboard for the most posts in LKN in a heated battle with someone in Denver? So, this backblast is for you, brother.  And, if you'd like, I can post it again, and again, and again…

3. Thanks to Soprano for taking us out and reminding us that the Christina Latini Memorial 8k is coming up on March 30. Sign up. I will be there.

4. Thanks to those of you who were so selfless and caring that you continually warned me that the next exercise was not good for my knee.

5. It's time to get to work, gents. Thanks for entrusting your fitness to me this morning.
