YHC had a general idea of the workout this AM and would borrow a few tricks from Enron's Birthday Q a while back. A visit to the famous covered bridge in the back of Antiquity was in order this warm breezy morning.
As the PAX pulled into the parking lot, the first car YHC spotted was a Red Honda Fit. Hmmm this one doesn't look familiar and in a flash out pops Primo!!!! Wow was super pumped as it's been a long time since being with Primo at the same workout. As I recall, we were at Viking together sometime last year.
YHC work day has been slammed with fire drills so will summarize what went down for brevity.
Like clockwork, Cousin Eddie ran the standard.
After Disclaimer, warm-arama was performed at the other side of Harris Teeter including SSH, IST, and two Primo favorites Donkey Kicks and Wacky Jacks. Next was Frankenstein walk across parking lot then a mosey to the entrance to the trail along Antiquity.
Quick round of Rocky Balboa and merkins were performed before heading down the dark trail towards covered bridge.
Run down trail and stop half-way for a quick mobility moment, then proceed to covered bridge.
While at covered bridge, PAX performed a ladder staring with 2 merkins and 2 squats starting at the beginning of the covered bridge and ending about 3 blocks down the street. This would be repeated by adding 2 reps to each setup until a total of 12 reps was achieved at each end.
YHC almost called an audible to step at 10 reps but PAX pushed on and completely the 12 total. THIS ADDED A TON OF RUNNING and was painful but SO WORTH IT.
Mosey back to trail towards parking lot with a few stops for 10 counts.
According to YHC Strava, a total of 3 miles was covered. YHC kicked his own a** this morning.
