Thorofare, Wyoming is the most remote area from vehicles in the lower 48, and is thus considered the most wilderness of the wilderness. Our wilderness was not, in fact, remote from anything, including vehicles, this morning, as 5 hard-chargers sallied forth in dark and brisk gloom to dodge vehicles and other stuff.
We climbed hills and descended hills. No, that is not accurate because we actually climbed and descended the same hill.
Furthermore, some rocks were lifted and shared with love. Freddies were Mercuried, Balboas were Rocky’d and some crunches were even little-babied. The ups were pushed, and the hops were side-straddled.
At some point there is the possibility that a marriage proposal was tendered – and by all accounts accepted – within the pax. The happy couple is registered at Midwood Smoke House and will be honeymooning on a street corner during the Huntersville Half.
