AO

(insert "guy tapping his head meme" re: Backblast title)

After last week's Q fail at Titan, we tried to keep it simple today.  Here's what transpired:

0500:  Major Tom and YHC set out on a ~2.4 mile standard which was mostly a straight line, sticking to one road.  We found our way back and picked up Jaws along the way in the gloom.

0530:  We started precisely at 0530 according to Snake Eyes' watch.  We did:

WARMORAMA:

Mosey half way around Hopewell High School, mixing in high knees, butt kickers, Quadraphilia, and long striders.

Circle up and give disclaimer.

  • SSH x 15 IC
  • Soybean farmers x 15 IC
  • Imperial Storm Troopers x 15 IC
  • Slow Deep Squats x 15 IC

The stay-on-the-AO-thing:

Grab a traveling rock for:

  • Zamporini carry until somone could no longer (usually YHC), about 70 yards?
  • Front shoulder press x 10 IC, put down rock
  • Run around the school, back to rock
  • Carry rock in flexed skull crusher position, to the steps behind the school
  • Dips x 12 IC, put down rock
  • Run around the school, back to rock
  • Carry rock in flexed bicep curl position, about another 70 yards perhaps
  • Full curls x 10 IC, put down rock
  • Run around the school, back to rock.  Due to time constraints we started to carry the rock back, via combinations of all the holds mentioned above + forearm carry against hip
  • Return rocks and mosey to the front of the school for Mary.

Mary:

  • Low Flutters x 25 IC
  • 1 min elbow plank
  • Calf and some other stretches

Recover, recover.  We covered exactly 3 miles according to my Garmin.

Moleskin:

  1. Strong work by all.  Thanks for coming out despite YHC's Q fail last week!
  2. Jaws, Snake Eyes, and their BRR team are planning a Tuesday evening run for which all are welcome.  Look for a #PB Tweet.
  3. Thank you Major Tom for joining YHC on the Standard.  Despite the "easy" route, there was still, incredibly, one road we weren't sure about.  Certain that if solo, I would have chosen wrong.
  4. Thank you Tantrum for the opportunity to lead.  Hope you are having a good vacation.
