10 pax took the DRP today without running or jumping one step. TBQ (or at least partial) was achieved while ending the workout more loose and limber than when we started. I probably won't remember everything we did, but it went something like this…
- warm-up with a few slow yurpees (includes upward and downward dog stretches)
- stretch from the top down: neck, shoulders, triceps, side stretches
- straight-leg, 1-leg hamstring extensions (slowly reaching to the ground with slow, controlled recovery to back to vertical stand), followed by triangle and twisting triangle poses
- straight leg, 1-leg lifts with toes out; side leg lefts, with toes pointed down; hip mobility with one knee on rolled mats…followed by cobblers and frog stretches
- runners pose and stretch variations, crescent, twisting crescent…until leg was burning and/or shaking; flapjack
- balance pose with hamstring stretch included; flapjack
Moleskin:
- Wrong, Omaha. Either the other 8 guys didn't stay up and watch fireworks like you or they went to bed right after the finale. Good sized crowd for the week of the 4th.
- Evidrude is on a roll…nope, not a bread roll. He's been hitting workouts every week day! Good work, brother. Keep it up.
- Chachi treks from 20+ minutes away to this workout and every time I go (not that often anymore), he's there. Good to see you again.
- Toxic is not yet exercising on both legs, but he has healed quickly! His accident in the woods may have transferred restorative elf powers to him. Don't be surprised if you see his ears change shapes.
- As usual, Waffle House, Black Bart, Dr. Seuss, Ultraman, and Die Hard wouldn't shut up and we couldn't get Toxic or Omaha to say a word.
Thanks to Dr. Seuss for taking us out in prayer.
