F3 World (Attempt) Record Marathon Relay

Date & Time

Dec 23, 2023 06:30 am - 09:00 am

Pax, The marathon world record is currently 2:00:35. That’s an average pace of 4:35 min/mile. It’s time for Isotope to break that record (as a relay) and close out 2023 with a live CSAUP like no other: The official F3 World (Attempt) Record Marathon Relay, presented by Popcorn and Pitstop! Be a part of history as we set the first full marathon relay record and throw down the gauntlet for other regions in 2024.

What it is: A marathon is 42,195 meters. 1 lap of lane 1 at BRP is 400 meters. 105.5 laps is 42,200 meters. To break the record, the average time per lap needs to be 1 minute, 9 seconds or less.

How it is: We show up, we run, we win, we go home. Gonna need as many pax as we can get! From GoatBusters to Clydesdales to GamerNerds. The more pax, the less sprinting and more recovery time. Run as many laps as you can, rest in between. Stray has graciously offered his Garmin taped to a stick to be the official baton we’ll pass.

Rules: It’s as many men as we can gather in a 1 shot attempt at glory. No multi-day best effort nonsense. Each runner must complete at least 1 full lap. Run as many or as few laps as you’re able, concurrently or taking as much rest in between as you can get. Get a running start, take the baton, sprint like you’re an elite marathoner, pass the baton, dry heave in the bushes. There is no hard order, next man up until we hit 105.5 laps.

Where it is: Bedrock takeover on December 23rd, Baily Road Park, 6:30AM. We kick off at first light. There will also be a center field boot camp/cheering/laughing section led by Toby (or somebody else if Toby is out of town).

”But I can’t run a lap in 1:09!” – We still need to make 105.5 laps, throw down your best and be a part of history; or come lift weights and watch the madness. We need you!
