Hey PAX, YHC is excited to provide additional details about our 2nd and 3rd F event on August 12th from 10am-2pm to support our friends at Hope House – Huntersville NC. This will be a family friendly event so mark your calendars and bring your M and 2.0’s. There will be a bouncy house, water games, refreshments, and lunch served at the event. Thank you to all who have already reached out and asked how you can help – see volunteer opportunities below.
As many of you know, Hope House provides transitional housing for women and children who are in difficult situations, and F3’s relationship with this important and worthwhile ministry has grown strong over the years. As Hope House’s Executive Director, Debbie O’Handley has stated, one of F3’s unique gifts to Hope House is demonstrating and modeling to the residents that it is safe to trust men. Let’s continue to model this on August 12th by meeting some of the residents and fellowship with other PAX and their families.
So far, YHC also excited to announce hard commits by the following PAX who are participating in the dunk tank fundraiser: Hippie, Don Ho, Jersey Boy, Shaken Not Stirred, Olive, Gambini, Deep Dish, Cherry Bomb and Omega are willing participants along with a couple other soft commits who are waiting to confirm.
DUNK TANK GUIDELINES
- All dunk tank participant donations should be made directly in the F3 Dunk Tank Fundraiser
- Important: DM YHC (Possum) who you sponsored. You can sponsor as many PAX as you’d like.
- Be sure to read the description in the Go Fund Me link above for the latest list of dunk tank participants as we may have a few more PAX to join in on the fun.
- If you’re a dunk tank participant, consider appointing a campaign manager who can help you solicit donations. Deep Dish – you are now officially Shake’s campaign manager since you EH’d him. 🙂
- Prizes awarded for the top 3 Dunk Tank Participants so consider talking this up among your AO’s.
- Get creative with the fundraising: Pick a PAX who regularly shows up at your AO and rally together to raise his sponsorship.
- Challenge a dunk tank participant to show up at your AO to receive additional sponsorship.
- A minimum goal of $3,000 has been set, but let’s crush this goal by giving what $$ you can and talking this up among your F3 brothers, neighbors, and others in our community.
How You Can Help (below are some areas you can help, please DM YHC for details)
- Bouncy House Q – Hope House owns a bouncy house but need a few PAX to do a dry run several days prior to the event to ensure it’s functional and can be setup with no issues. Also setup Saturday morning on the property before the event begins. Also supervision will be needed for the 2.0’s playing on the bouncy house and breaking it down after the event is over.
- Games Q – coordinate and lead games for the event. This will involve gathering things ahead of time like water guns (super soakers), slip and slides, frisbees, corn hole and other fun games for kids.
- Dunk Tank Q – Dunk Tank can be picked up Friday night 8/11 from Cook Rentals in Cornelius and returned Monday morning 8/14. Soprano has graciously sponsored the Dunk Tank. Need help coordinating with him to ensure dunk tank gets picked up and setup on the property before the event.
- Refreshments Q – coordinate and bring refreshments for the event: ice, cold drinks, light refreshments, snacks and pizza delivery (lunch) to the property.
