AO

YHC woke up this morning thinking he was going to get an early run in before Q’ing at fallout so I got up around 4:30 and headed out to the AO. Little did I know that I would be face with a moral dilemma this morning. A possum came across the road and I unfortunately hit her. I turned around she had Babies with her and tried my best to collect all 3 of them.

YHC ended up at the AO with sometime to setup and layout the cones and also try and test a part of the workout that required suicide burpees this morning.
the warma rama

SSH , IST slow windmill and some arm circles to follow.

The Thang:

YHC had laid out 16 cones in a 4 by 4 pattern on the soccer fields and pax started out with lunging to the first set of cones and then a light sprint to the last set of cones. The lunges would get longer as pax lunged to the second set of cones and progressively get longer til we lunged the distance of a quarter of the field.
pax then lined back up for a round of suicides performing a burpee at every line of cones for round 1. Round 2 was a repeating but with 2 burpees at each line of cones . Round 3 was 3 burpees at each line. After the small burpees mania pax line up at one end of the 4 by 4 cones and went down the line and performed 1 squat for every cone and increasing the rep by one for every cone (so think the 2nd cone 2squats ,3rd cone three squats) after the squat round pax went back through the grid doing a similar exercise but with Carolina dry docks.

After that YHC introduced the pax into a new exercise that they would need when they get into their elderly age . The get up. For every column of cones pax did one get up and increased by one until they reached the end of the grid.  Finally we finished it off with 2 rounds of regular suicides and went back to launch for Mary.

Moleskin :

the talk of the town was YHCs reaching of the possums with many pax saying I should’ve left them or other ideas on how to handle them. The force and Baller wanted to know if I wore gloves when handling them (I did). Thank you to gambini for letting me lead today and for helping rehome the baby possums.
