Reflection: John 9: 1-3

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.  His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Good study of Job this past few weeks brought to the front the eternal question of why suffering occurs in our world, especially to those who we see as good people.  Thinking of all the times I have seen suffering occur in people I look up to reminds me of what a testimony it can be to see them persevere and keep the big picture as well as some internal reflection of how I handle my own crosses and who could benefit by seeing our own struggles.
